We estimate that our full time Primary Schools Worker will see 30-50,000 students at over 100 schools in 2008. Peter spends much of his time in schools, speaking at assemblies, sharing in RE classes – and every time, he gets to give away Bibles. Over 20,000 scriptures, in some form, were given out in this manner in 2007, and through our donors, this can only increase over time. The need is there, and so is the desire – we’re keeping up with a rambunctious demand!
So what’s new?
Peter Blasé was a busy man in 2007. Not only did he speak to about 30,000 primary school students and give out around 20,000 scriptures – he also found the time to create a new version of the Bible that makes it more accessible, and exciting, for year 5-7 students.
WILD is a comic book -style Gospel of Mark for upper primary aged children, with three different types of animation. It is an easy to understand summary of the Bible’s message, and it also has a clear, interactive explanation of the Gospel and how to become a follower of Jesus Christ.
